The Body Mass Index (BMI) is a common measurement, providing a ratio of weight in relation to height. BMI can be expressed as a mathematical formula in which your body weight (in kilograms) is divided by the square of your height (in meters).
BMI = Weight (kg) / Height (m2)

BMI is useful for establishing guidelines of health related risks for healthy adults between the age of 20 and 65 years old. It does not apply to infants, children, adolescents, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and seniors over the age of 65.
